13th Biometal 2021 goes virtual
Please note that on June 4, 2021 the International Organizing Committee took the hard decision
to limit the 2021 to a virtual event, mainly because several countries still limit international travelling due to pandemic.
from Monday August 23 to Thursday August 26, 2021.
This year again, the symposium will emphasize its academic-conference-style with an openly discursive format, rather than a lecture and question–answer format. This style will be completed by the traditional discussions and the unconventional daily free-time sessions early in the afternoon. Behind the presentations, this symposium aims to discuss open questions on the session topics, new approaches, background knowledge, and personal views among the participants. Furthermore, discussions at the poster session will focus on specific topics and will encourage the participants to raise critical questions or help each other advancing the field of biodegradable metals.
NEW this year: The pandemic has shown us that it might be difficult to travel, even at this later date in 2021. Therefore, the Symposium will be presented as a virtual online conference, which will provide:
1. A complete access to the presentation in real time, as they are happening on site. It will also be possible to participate in the question period to the presenters, using ZOOM.
2. We will organize ZOOM sessions so that discussions can take place with the speakers at a time period outside of the presentation schedule
3. Express presentations (Replacing traditional Posters) will be available for streaming at anytime.
- ONLY pre-recorded presentations are allowed for Express presentation speakers. It is suggested to use creative methods, e.g. subtitle and animations, to enhance your presentation further. The time allocated is between 5 and 10 minutes.
- There will be no question period. Questions will have to be sent by email to the presenter.
The virtual 13th Biometal 2021 will take place from Monday Aug 23 to Thursday August 26, included, between 10 am to 7 pm time = 4 pm to 1 am Peking time = 4 am to 1 pm New York time. The preliminary program will be available by mid June 2021.
Please join us in deepening our knowledge in the field and discovering this part of the world!
Register TODAY!
We really hope to welcome you virtually at the next 13th Biometal2021 next August!
